How does it work?

Frequently asked questions
Is this really free? What's the catch?
Yes, free, no account needed. We built this because submitting e-Factura is painful and the existing tools are bad. The only "catch" is the link at the bottom — if you're tired of fighting XML, Foxlab generates valid e-Factura XMLs from your invoices automatically.
Is my XML uploaded somewhere?
No. Validation runs entirely in your browser — we don't send the XML to our servers, don't log it, don't store it. You can verify by checking your browser's Network tab while validating.
Does passing this validator mean ANAF will accept my invoice?
Mostly yes, but not 100%. We cover the highest-frequency rules (the ones that catch ~80% of real-world rejections). ANAF runs additional checks tied to live data (CUI active in their registry, sequence numbering, etc.) that we can't replicate without their API.
What about Romania-specific rules?
We cover the main CIUS-RO additions: county codes (CountrySubentity), TaxCurrencyCode = RON for non-RON invoices, RO CUI format, mandatory supplier identifiers, and the standard 5/9/19% VAT rates.
